Palm Photo Prize

It has definitely been a surreal few months, with most of the modern world grinding to a halt. I have spent the majority of my time catching up on editing and finishing projects. So it was lovely to hear I was short listed again in the Palm Photo Prize. My image of Abi will be included in the the exhibition when it is safe to go ahead.

Distinctly

It’s hard to describe how it felt to be included in Distinctly, a large group exhibition of British Photography, and even tougher to express the emotions of seeing my work hanging alongside some of the most iconic British Photography made over the last 50 years. Especially, to discover my work sitting opposite Chris Killip’s hauntingly beautiful images from his Sea Coal series was particularly special. I really have to thank Tracy Marshall for including my work in the exhibition and for championing me so much this last year, her support has been invaluable. She has curated a wonderful exhibition of powerful and moving documentary images that depict Britain’s uniqueness, poverty, humour and communities, whilst also questioning the notion of a British identity. The exhibition is housed in the grand Williamson Art Gallery & Museum in Birkenhead and If you are in the North West, or nearby, please do go and see the exhibition, and all the other shows that make up the Look Photo Biennial. Distinctly includes work by: Chris Killip, Daniel Meadows, John Myers, Ken Grant, Kirsty Mackay, Marketa Luskacova, Martin Parr, Niall McDiarmid & Tish Murtha.

United Nations of Photography - Podcast
